The carrots I'm holding in this photo are about 2/3 of the carrot harvest this year. There are still a few carrots in the ground that I thought might benefit from growing another week or so.
I like homegrown carrots because while very tasty, they have an earthy taste to them. They're not quite as sweet as storebought carrots (not mine anyway), but they still are slightly sweet with a good carrot flavor.
This rainbow pack was pretty cool. Purple carrots? Yellow? White? Well, they were all good!
I think it'd be cool to grow enough carrots to freeze or can, but that would be a lot of carrots!!!! I think my garden would have to be much bigger than it is in order to grow that many carrots. :)

Never heard of colored carrots, but they sure do make a pretty picture.
