Missing my Laptop

I've been absent from the blogosphere as of late, because my computer is in the shop once again. I'm hoping to pick it up next week fixed or not! About 6 weeks ago, I dropped off my laptop at a computer repair shop because almost every time I would open my computer it would "wake up" and turn on, but I could just BARELY see the screen. I might be able to see a silhouette on my wallpaper, but that was about it. I would have then have to open it, close it, open it close it, unplug it, replug it, power off, power on, in hopes of the screen coming on bright and normal. Nearly $200 later, I had a new screen in my laptop. Ten days passes by, and THE SAME THING STARTS HAPPENING; just every now and then though, not nearly every time I opened the computer. It got to where it was happening almost half the time I went to use my computer, so I called them BACK up. I took it back down to the same folks and 3, yes THREE weeks later, I still don't have the computer back. This time they say it's the magnetic strip. I'm just going to tell them to disable the strip and hopefully for free because I want my computer back! (and my $200!) Anyway, if I ever get it back, look forward to a post about pickles complete with pictures! :)

I don't like blogging without pictures; it's so boring. However, all of my pictures are on my laptop, save the ones I've taken SINCE then, but it just takes too long to sit in the office and blog when the rest of the family is inside needing to be cared for. (right now everyone is still sleeping...I just woke up early).......speaking of which......Elizabeth is crying, so there goes this post too!!!

Now that Elizabeth is fed and climbing on her slumbering daddy.....I'll breeze through the interesting stuff since I rambled on and on about the boring stuff. :)

We're experiencing our first cold snap for the season with morning lows in the upper thirties and daytime highs only in the upper forties. There's color popping up in the trees here and there; fall is definitely upon us!

The garden is dwindling, though I'm still harvesting tomatoes, peppers and ground cherries. The garden did so well this year. I've really enjoyed all the benefits it has offered.

The kids are doing fine, growing as always. Elizabeth still has no teeth at nearly 9 months old, but I think the first two are finally on their way, though they still haven't erupted.

Daisy is officially dried off as of last week. Her calf is due in early December, so she needs these last 2 months to concentrate on baby growth, not milk production. The vet was out here this past week and gave her a 7 way shot and gave her the once over. She's doing fine; she's put on weight since we got her, no longer has staph A; she's a healthier cow now than when we got her! I noticed yesterday how much her winter coat is coming in. She looks like a woolly booger!!
