Randomness

Today I am writing without too much to say. The snow is gone, that's one thing to say. After almost 3 months, I can see the ground all around the house, even the north side of the house. The snow and cold temperatures we had this winter are like no other winter I remember in the past. I've lived in the mountains for nearly 20 years now (that's HARD to believe, but it's true!), and for the past 10, our winters have been fairly mild. We've had some cold temperatures, but the cold spells were always somewhat short lived, as well as the snow we've had over the past ten years. But this year, it stayed consistently very cold from December thru the first of March. So when it did snow, it stayed and stayed and stayed. I do remember some pretty cold spells and a lot of snow when I was a child though. We never got below 0 this year, and the coldest we ever had was -13 back in 1993 I think. Ok, well, I guess that was boring enough. I'll move on now. : )
Katie Mae isn't a baby anymore!!! What happened? She's talking so much and has just turned in to a little girl, not a baby! I LOVE the stage she's in (minus the diapers! ugh!!!), but it makes me miss her being younger too. I've thought a lot lately about the possibility of more children, and I must say that I'm still content with three. I have always been pregnant by the time the last in line was Katie's age in the past, so really, this next year is going to be uncharted territory for me. I'll have three CHILDREN, not babies, without any more on the way. It's a weird thought. And of course, I will say right now, for fear of eating my words later, that I don't have any idea what the future holds. I may not make it through the year without having another one on the way, but "we" don't "plan" on that happening. : ) I did the math in my head the other day and out of the past 7 years 11 months that I've been married, I've been pregnant or nursing for almost 6 of those years, so I'm ready for a break.
We have had the craziest weather in the past 24 hours. It will rain, then the sun will shine. Rain, then shine. Right now, it JUST stopped raining and the sun is TRYING to shine, but this is the third spell of rain just today. I'm enjoying it though. It's pretty, and I like watching it rain. I think I will go enjoy the rest of the day with my hubby now.
