I started blogging in April 2008 and really enjoy it! Being an extremely busy wife and mother of four, I don't get much time to write. But please do not let that keep you from coming back often as I like having you read what I write! Feel free to comment and let me know you stopped by, and enjoy reading!

A Major Organizing Project Complete!
I am just so dang proud of myself. I've spent nearly 2 hours this lazy Saturday afternoon organizing the pictures on my hard drive. About half of the pictures were sorted by month, but the rest spanned multiple months or had weird names so they weren't in chronological order. Sometimes I'd take pictures from someone else's camera and just slap a name on the file. Well. Starting from January 2008 to present, each month has it's own file and they are all in chronological order. It's just a wonderful feeling. My own camera died about a month ago. I don't know what happened to it, I was just taking pictures and it shut down with the scope/shutter open and all. I've tried to "give it time to heal" several times and then tried to power it up, but no such luck. So now I'm back to using my PREVIOUS camera that has a broken LCD screen. The outer screen is intact, it's just that something inside is broken. I can shoot pictures, I just can't see what I'm shooting or make any adjustments whatsoever to the method in which I take the picture. It really sucks, but it's better than nothing I suppose. Therefore, my picture taking days have not been so frequent as of late, but I thought I'd post a few pictures from August that are decent enough to share. Enjoy!
Alan was such a good corn shucker the other day! My friend, Kallie Vaughn was up with her four boys, and while they were here, we picked several hundred ears of corn, shucked about 250 ears, and blanched/froze about 120 of those ears. The rest of the shucked ears were eaten and given away to friends and neighbors. Alan--5 yr 4 mo.
I'm telling you what! I was proud of these kids. All seven of them hung in till the end (it took close to an hour) of shucking this corn. I had to give them an ice cream incentive for dessert after lunch towards the end, but they were really good!
There's something that never gets old about seeing a child sleep. Katie Mae--2 yr, 4 mo.
Savannah actually fell asleep during rest time for once! 7 yr 2 mo
Katie Mae is such a joyful child. She's a sweet girl. 8/02/10 (No, I don't know why this is blue highlighted!)
