As I wrote earlier, Aaron's grandmother from Arizona came to visit us last week. She was here from the 16th-19th, and we had a very good time with her. I am so glad that the kids got to know Gramma better and will have some lasting memories of her. Though we have extremely dangerous basement steps, and though Gramma cannot handle steps well at all, she made the trek to the basement twice to have tea parties with the kids and they played countless games with her. She played cribbage with me too! (I love playing any game!!) We mainly just stayed around the house and visited with her. One afternoon we took her out on the back roads and drove around a little, and one evening we had a big bonfire. Other than that, we just had a laid back country style visit. :) We all hope that she can make it back to our place again and get to stay longer next time!

just saw these tonight, guess I missed this post. the baby is Elizabeth, but the pictures say katie and katie2. Thanks for posting and taking pictures with Mom, they are such important memories. Love you.
ha, actually, these are katie. This was when Gramma visited in 2008!!! I do have plenty of pictures of her 2011 visit too though! If I haven't put them on my blog, (I don't remember), I'll have to do that, or send some one...
